Swollen Members + Big B & Klaw

Last night’s show at Urban Lounge was quite epic. Although we missed Common Market’s opening set, we heard it was amazing.

We arrived just in time to see Big B and our good friend, Klaw jump on stage. They killed it and we loved seeing Klaw spin, scratch, sing, dance and do his thing!

Swollen Members walked by us as they were stage-bound and we kinda got chills. All over. Their performance was nothing short of ridiculous. They gave props to Urban Lounge as this was the venue for their first Salt Lake show, ten years ago. They were impressed with the improvements in the sound and lights. They were also impressed with the crowd and the vibe goin’ off.

In the words of Mad Child, “There are those cities on your tour that you look forward to. For us, on this tour, those cities were Boulder (where the previous night’s show was) and Salt Lake.” Of course the crowd loved the compliment and went ape shit.

He later announced that it was Prevail’s Birthday and led the crowd in singing Happy Birthday.

One of the highlights of the night was Prev 1’s freestyle, which lasted no less than five minutes. It was absolutely jaw dropping. Needless to say, the energy in that room was incredible.

Their new album, “Armed To The Teeth” is dope and they’re coming off their best first week album sales in America since they formed. Buy it on iTunes, you’ll love it!

This was a sick show and a great night of catching up with friends. Big ups to S&S Presents for the talent they bring to their venue.

This isn’t Swollen Members, but its dope as hell.
